Sign the forms

Whoever filled out the forms needs to sign all the forms. The other spouse also needs to sign these two forms:

  1. "Co-Party Petition"

  2. "General Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage"

You don't need to sign in front of a notary public or a witness. You can just sign the forms at home.

Wait for a judge to approve your divorce

It may take a couple of weeks for a judge to review your paperwork and sign it. If there are problems with your forms, you may get a call from the court asking you to resubmit your forms.

If you don't hear anything, be sure to call the court and check on the status of your case.
