Deschutes Public Library - Lawyer in the Library Program

Deschutes Public Library manages the law library for Deschutes County and its collection is housed at the Downtown Bend Library. 

Deschutes Public Library offers a lawyer in the library clinic to provide free 30-minute consultations with volunteer lawyers. Check the website and online calendar for dates and locations

Family law: custody, divorce, child support

Domestic violence: restraining orders, stalking orders, assault

Housing: public housing, evictions, foreclosure

Public Benefits: TANF, SSI, SNAP, food stamps, medical, OHP

Education: IEP, student loans

Consumer Issues: garnishments, debts, bankruptcy

Civil rights: discrimination

Senior law: wills, long-term care, Medicaid/Medicare, power of attorney
