Metropolitan Public Defender, Community Law Division - Community Partner Services- Joint Office of Homeless Services
Metropolitan Public Defender’s Community Law Division partners with organizations to help people experiencing homelessness access civil legal help.
Metropolitan Public Defender’s Community Law Division provides information and legal representation to people who are homeless and working with programs funded by the Joint Office of Homeless Services (go to this link for a list of funded programs). They help with civil legal issues such as clearing court fines and fees, expunging criminal records, restoring driving privileges, evictions, and—when it’s a barrier to housing—family law or consumer debt.
